Prof. John Odo Ibu Foundation
"A life of impact is the greatest gift of all."
The Prof. John Odo Ibu Foundation was established to immortalize the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to healing, teaching, and serving humanity.
We are committed to providing scholarships for underprivileged students, facilitating medical outreaches, and building the capacity of the next generation of Nigerian healthcare professionals.
Born in 1948, Professor John Odo Ibu rose from Ikachi, Benue, to become a globally respected gastroenterology consultant and medical educator. With a 1st Class degree from ABU Zaria and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, he didn't just practice medicine—he shaped the minds of thousands of doctors across seven Nigerian universities.
Beyond his academic brilliance and service as Chairman of NAFDAC, he was a devoted husband to Eunice and a loving father. The Foundation continues his lifelong mission to ensure that quality healthcare and education are accessible to all.
